Webinar – VUCA: An Encore

In the first webinar in this series, we introduced the concept of VUCA. A term coined by the Army War College, VUCA is an acronym for volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous. These dimensions describe a lot of situations we describe ourselves in today. And while it might be an open question as to whether the world is any more VUCA than it used to be, there is arguably still more than enough VUCA for the average bear to handle.

So what does it mean to lead in a VUCA environment? More specifically, what perspectives does VUCA offer to help us to better understand our approaches to leadership? And in particular, what strategies are most useful, and in what contexts, when we are faced with some dimension of the VUCA model?

In this presentation, Mark Mullaly takes a deeper dive into VUCA and its relevance in helping us to improve our leadership abilities. He explores the strategies and approaches that can be employed to address situations of ambiguity, complexity, uncertainty and volatility, and explores examples of how these techniques can help make a difference. You will gain insights into what strategies can work where, and why. You will be exposed ideas and perspectives that can help you to assess difficult situations, evaluate appropriate strategies and lead with greater confidence in the face of the unknown.

Mark is joined on this webinar by Peter de Jager, who will provide his own insights and perspectives in counterpoint to Mark’s presentation. Join us. It’s a webinar you won’t want to miss.
